International Key Account Manager, QSR
Go into the market, win new international QSR customers and turn a qualified pipeline into sustainable, profitable growth for Scandi Standard.
Ready to shape international QSR growth?
This is an opportunity for a commercially driven Key Account Manager who is motivated by winning new business with some of the world’s most demanding and dynamic foodservice customers. Your primary mandate is to go into the market, identify the right targets, open doors and build relationships from the first contact. You will turn new customer opportunities into solutions that work across product development, quality, supply chain and production.
Your focus is clear: actively hunt for new customers, build a strong pipeline from the ground up and convert opportunities into sustainable growth in volume, revenue and profitability. You will also develop selected existing partnerships, but this is first and foremost a market-facing new business role. You will work internationally and have the freedom to operate from a Scandi Standard location in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Ireland, Lithuania or the Netherlands.
The opportunity
As International Key Account Manager for the Quick Service Restaurant segment, you will be responsible for expanding Scandi Standard’s international customer base. This is a hunter role with a clear new-business mandate: map the market, select priority prospects, create access to decision-makers and move opportunities from first dialogue to signed agreement and successful launch. Alongside this, you will develop selected strategic accounts through disciplined commercial execution. You will be expected to understand both sides of the table: what creates value for the customer, and what builds a healthy, scalable business for Scandi Standard.
What you will do
· Actively prospect and win new international QSR customers, taking opportunities from first contact to signed agreement and launch.
· Map the QSR market, identify priority targets and build a focused prospect list across relevant countries and customer segments.
· Create access to key decision-makers through proactive outreach, networking, referrals and persistent follow-up.
· Develop and execute clear go-to-market and customer acquisition plans for the international QSR channel.
· Build and actively manage a strong, qualified opportunity pipeline with clear next steps, conversion milestones and commercial priorities.
· Lead new-business pitches, customer tenders, contract negotiations and the commercial onboarding of new accounts.
· Drive profitable growth from both new wins and selected existing accounts, with clear ownership of customer P&L and budget performance.
· Work closely with NPD, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, Finance and Customer Service to create competitive customer solutions.
· Translate customer and market needs into product, assortment and innovation opportunities.
· Monitor customer developments, market movements and competitor activity, and convert insight into action.
· Use relevant sales tools, KPIs and performance management disciplines to create transparency and momentum.
What success looks like
· Delivering agreed sales, volume and profitability targets.
· Creating a robust pipeline of qualified new-customer opportunities through consistent market activity.
· Winning new customer agreements, opening new markets and creating strategic partnerships.
· Converting prospects into active, profitable customers while growing selected existing accounts.
· Successfully onboarding and developing new customers.
· Completing contracts, tenders and commercial negotiations on time and with strong business outcomes.
What you bring
You are a commercially strong, externally oriented hunter who combines relationship-building with business discipline. You gain energy from creating opportunities rather than waiting for them, and you are comfortable approaching new customers where no relationship exists today. You know how to navigate large, international organisations and move from first contact to a long-term commercial partnership.
· A relevant higher education in business, economics, commercial management or a comparable field.
· At least three years of relevant B2B sales or key account experience. International QSR, foodservice or food industry experience is a strong advantage.
· A proven track record of proactively winning new B2B customers, developing routes to market and converting a pipeline into profitable business.
· Experience with complex negotiations, annual contracts and tender processes.
· Commercial confidence in budgets, margins, customer P&L and business KPIs.
· A strong network in QSR or with major international foodservice customers is highly valuable, together with the ability to create new access where a network does not already exist.
· Fluent professional English. Additional languages are an advantage.
· Willingness and ability to travel internationally, approximately 40–50% depending on business needs.
How you work
· You are hands-on, proactive and motivated by opening doors, creating opportunities and delivering measurable results.
· You build trust quickly and communicate credibly with customers and colleagues at all levels.
· You negotiate firmly and constructively, balancing customer needs with long-term business value.
· You are solution-oriented, analytical and able to react quickly in a changing market.
· You collaborate naturally across functions, countries and cultures.
· You bring energy, resilience and persistence. You are comfortable with proactive outreach, long sales cycles and hearing “no” before earning a “yes”.
